Cimex Lectularius and C.hemipterus and other biting insects.
Due to an increase in national and International travel there is an increased risk of bugs unbeknowingly travelling in guest luggage. Because of our strict pest control protocols applied, this is highly unlikely.
However, please be aware that we are unable to admit, or accept any liability for personal wellbeing, luggage or clothing, if you come into contact with these insects, as no one can be certain how the bugs may have arrived in your room, there is no way of identifying where these bugs may have come from. They are most often transported in guest luggage, unbeknown to the guest and inadvertently deposited. Our duty of care extends to our rooms being serviced daily and bedding sanitised, which as our laundry, sheets pillow cases and duvet covers are professionally outsourced, this duty of care is met. We have strict protocols in place to ensure our guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. Cimex bugs are unfortunately becoming more common with increased national and international travel. We have approximately 6 million visitors to Bath annually and these incidents are on the increase, not just in Bath and the UK but the world over. Should you suffer this misfortune, any reimbursement agreed is entirely at the owners discretion and may be solely offered as a goodwill gesture.
